Amandine Braud

Amandine Braud est née en 1982 à Paris. Artiste et médiatrice de la création contemporaine, elle est passionnée par la rencontre, l’expérimentation et la transmission auprès de différents publics. En 2005, elle est diplômée de l’école supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Rennes, en design d’espace et d’objet. Elle complète ensuite sa formation en coordination de projet social et culturel à l’université de Rennes1 en 2012.

En 2005, elle co-fonde le collectif Podenciel. Les cinq plasticiens de ce collectif créent des micro-architectures et scénographies qui invitent à agir ou réagir à l’espace public. Suivent de nombreux projets, expositions et collaborations dans différents lieux: écoles, hôpital, prison, espace publique. Amandine Braud est membre, avec Lucas Grandin et Kamiel Verschuren, du projet C.A.I.R.E. (Collectif Artistique/Architectural d’Interventions Responsables et Ethiques), qui a produit des oeuvres à l’occasion du SUD2013 à Douala. Elle a en même temps participé, cette année là, à la coordination de la triennale.

Ses projets artistiques sont attentifs aux contextes salles d’expositions, écoles, hôpitaux, prisons, espaces publics, sont travaillés chacun avec leurs spécificités. Ils prennent plusieurs formes: construction, installation, performance, édition. Ils sont le plus souvent conçus dans le sens d’un «Do it Together», «faisons le ensemble».

Aujourd’hui elle vit et travaille à Rennes, où elle est chargée du développement de la médiation auprès du jeune public et de l’accompagnement des résidences d’artistes pour La Criée, centre d’art contemporain.

Amandine Braud was born in 1982 in Paris. Artist and mediator of contemporary creation, she is passionate about encountering, experimenting with and transmitting to different audiences.
Her artistic projects take context into account: exhibition halls, schools, hospital, prison, public spaces and come in several forms: construction, installation, performance, editing. They are more often designed in the sense of ‘do it together’.
She graduated from the university of fine arts in Rennes in 2005 in space and object design, then completed her training in coordination of a social and cultural project at the University of Rennes 1 in 2012.
In 2005, she co-founded the Podenciel collective; the five artists create micro-architectures and scenographies that invite you to act or react to the public space.
She has worked on various projects, exhibitions and collaborations in different places: schools, hospital, prison, public space.
A member of project C.A.I.R.E. with Lucas Grandin and Kamiel Verschuren for the SUD2013 in Douala, she participated in the coordination of the triennale.
Today she lives and works in Rennes, where she is responsible for mediation development with young audiences and accompanying artist residencies for La Criée contemporary art centre.
